Beta Character Limitations . Progress is not carried over from beta characters to live characters. Beta characters do not share normal account-wide inventory with non-beta characters, e.g., wallet, karma, shared inventory slots, and bank access. Beta characters cannot access the trading post. Beta characters cannot mail gold or items.

Anyone with a Guild Wars 2 account in good standing—including Play for Free accounts—can create a beta character and take the changes out for a spin to see how they feel. Beta characters had several items automatically in their inventory upon creation. These items are as follows: Demo Gear Loot Box. As from my experience with other beta in GW2 everything will be copied from a default state (you will get a lot of containers that one need to open and start with base amount of Gold and some other currencies that are needed for testing out how story progress and how map events will work) and after beta have ended that account will be reset The only situation I can think of where that wouldn't work is if someone had so little coin in their wallet when the beta started that they can't afford many (or any) waypoints.
