It was detuned in the first three gears, probably because of the massive torque and what it could do to the drive train if unleashed in full in those gears. CAR: Ford Focus 2.0 TDCI - 2nd hand. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Ford OC mobile app No chance, as the thread that @F0CUE linked to mentions, the 1.8 TDCi is a totally different engine to the 2.0 TDCi. Also, the limitation on the 1.8 isn't the turbo, it's the inlet manifold. It's a 1980s design and is just too restrictive by modern standards. Quote.

This means that there has been a small leak detected by the Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) solenoid, look for a samll black vacuum line to be disconnected close to the EVAP solenoid.

Mind you, I've searched Google and YouTube. Also had a peek through some of the threads here and but they were for previous gens.
