While the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III's user interface is upgraded from the 1DsMark II, it is identical to that of the EOS-1D Mark III, including the arrangements on the LCD status displays.

Yeah, color has gone downhill lately and I agree that the old school models produced (and still produce) the most pleasing palette - and that signature is what most people refer to when they talk about 'Canon colors'. I sold the 3rd 1Ds-Mk3 at a significant loss. Canon told me and other owners with AF problems on numerous occasions that the 1Ds-Mk3 had no AF problems, and the AF problems were all isolated to the 1D-Mk3. However, here is a service announcement from Canon that shows both the 1Ds-Mk3 and 1D-Mk3 still had AF problems after 15 months (1Ds) and 21
