You need no more than 12 inches of inch gravel substrate. If you are adding a gravel bog to an existing deep pond area, construct a false bottom. The bog is too small. For water gardens, 10 to 15 percent of the surface area should be bog, and for koi ponds there should be 25 to 30 percent. Wrong size gravel.
If there is a self fill valve in the pond, try to install it out in the pond area and not in the skimmer. If the skimmer becomes clogged with debris and the water level drops in the skimmer, the fill valve may over fill the pond. Bottom drain. Bottom drains are not required in water gardens but are very beneficial for Koi Ponds. When used in a

Understanding ORP. The dosing of ozone in a pond is measured in oxidation-reduction potential (ORP, sometimes referred to as REDOX, and is commonly expressed in millivolts (mV). Simply put, ORP is a measure of how clean the pond water is in terms of its ability to oxidize contaminants and organic waste. The higher the millivolts displayed on an
A pool skimmer creates a current on the surface of a pool which draws in any floating surface debris such as leaves, oils, sunscreen etc through the skimmer opening. Any leaves and larger debris are held in the skimmer basket which stops them from reaching the pool pump. The skimmer basket can be removed and emptied. NmC7ECb.
